FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
The season opening date depends primarily on sufficient snow conditions, as well as on decisions made by the ski resort operators.
Our company NEVER announces a confirmed opening date or starts sales unless the opening date has been clearly finalized based on snow conditions, weather evaluations, and resort planning.

Road Conditions
Road conditions may change rapidly depending on weather.
In some cases, roads may open within 10 minutes after snow clearing or melting; in other cases, snowfall or icing may require winter tires or snow chains. We cannot provide guarantees or forecasts regarding road conditions, as mountain weather is highly unpredictable.

⚠️ Traveling on mountain roads with proper precautions and ensuring personal and public safety is the responsibility of each visitor.

⚠️ Ski/snowboard equipment included in rental packages consists of standard sets from previous seasons.
If you prefer newer or premium equipment, you can select it online during the reservation process by paying the price difference under additional services.

Dorukkaya Pistes
3000 ₺No deposit is required when purchasing a one-day skipass. For accommodation guests, a cash deposit of 800 TL is required for the skipass card and is refunded in cash upon return of the card at the end of the day. -
Kartal Pistes

The skipass is a personal, daily pass with unlimited lift access. Access to the slopes without a valid skipass is strictly prohibited. Price changes are at the discretion of the resort management. Resorts may update prices at any time. PenguenTepe does not provide real-time price guarantees. Our tour does not require guests to use a specific facility. The tour bus stops between the two facilities, allowing guests freedom of choice. Skipass payments are made directly by guests at the resort.

*** Ski clothing and accessories (goggles, helmet, etc.) are NOT included in the FULL package.
** If you wish to upgrade beyond the standard package, you can do so during the online reservation by paying the price difference between the standard set and the selected equipment.
** To reserve equipment in advance, all required information must be entered correctly during the online tour reservation.
If suitable equipment is unavailable based on your details, we will contact you and suggest alternatives. Missing, incorrect, or late information may affect proper reservation.
** For late reservations or requests, equipment may not be reserved in advance.
** All prices are based on PenguenTepe Ski House 2026 season rates.
Prices at the summit may be higher, and equipment availability cannot be guaranteed.
Our tour operates only on weekends and with one bus per day.
There is no transportation on weekdays.
Travel is arranged in a 2+1 seating format. We do our best to provide single seats for solo travelers; however, for last-minute reservations, single-seat availability cannot be guaranteed. Early booking is recommended.
This seating layout ensures a more comfortable journey, especially on longer routes.
You can complete your reservation by clicking the “Buy Now” button under the selected package and finalizing payment through our online system.
✅ If the system allows you to select a date, availability exists for that date.
Note: If your preferred date is fully booked but is a priority for you, additional availability may occasionally be released depending on date and location.
You may send a request to tur@penguentepe.com — we will add you to the waiting list and contact you if seats become available.
❌ Reservations by phone or by sending a deposit are NOT accepted.
Please use only our online system, where all information is recorded in writing to prevent errors.
After payment completion:

the invoice is sent after the tour is completed
(for early bookings: after all tickets are used or after the final cancellation date)
We strongly advise against cash payments or services without a contract, as this may put your payment, trip, and insurance coverage at risk.
❗ Bank transfer (havale) reservations:
Payment must be completed within 1 hour, and the receipt including your reservation number must be sent to tur@penguentepe.com.
Reservations without completed payment within 1 hour are considered invalid and automatically cancelled.
PenguenTepe is not obligated to provide follow-up calls or reminders for such cases.
When does the bus fill up?
It is impossible to predict when seats will be fully booked.
The only guarantee of a seat is a completed purchase.
Discounts and promotions are available only during early booking campaigns, which end on November 30 each year
(for details: penguentepe.com/firsatlar).
After this date, NO discounts or special pricing are offered based on:

Note: customized or private tours are not offered at a lower price than standard packages.
Infants:
Children under 2 years old, who do not occupy a seat and travel on a parent’s lap, travel free of charge.
However, please note that day ski tours may not be suitable for families with infants.
Children aged 2 and above are charged at the standard rate.
Under 18:
Passengers aged 16–17 may travel only with written parental consent bearing a wet signature,
which must be handed to the guide at bus boarding.
Passengers aged 0–15 are not accepted without a parent or legal guardian.
You can rent ski sets and clothes, as well as buy accessories such as thermal underwear, ski socks, gloves at the PenguenTepe ski house on favorable terms.
After arriving at the summit, you may leave your personal belongings on the bus, provided that you keep valuables with you.
Please note that for security reasons, bus doors will not be opened until 4:00 PM.
As an alternative, paid lockers are available inside the hotel.
SKIPASS
Access to the slopes in Kartalkaya (Dorukkaya or Kartal) is strictly prohibited without a valid skipass.
All guests are required to purchase their skipass directly from the resort facilities.
Kartalkaya ski resort does not accept pedestrians or non-skiing day visitors.
It is the guest’s responsibility to obtain current skipass prices and possible updates directly from the relevant resort.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations, refunds, or changes are not permitted within the last 24 hours before departure.
For requests made more than 24 hours prior to departure:
- changes are processed without any deductions
- in case of cancellation, a full refund is issued to the original payment method
- credit card refunds: within 1–7 business days
- bank transfer refunds: within 2 business days
All requests must be submitted exclusively in written form to tur@penguentepe.com to be considered valid.
FORCE MAJEURE
The organization cannot be held responsible for changes caused by force majeure, including weather, snow, or road conditions.
Please note that skiing is a nature-dependent sport.
If, based on company experience, there is a high risk of lift and/or road closures due to heavy snowfall, storms, or insufficient snow levels, the tour may be cancelled in favor of the guests.
Tours cancelled before departure are refunded in full.
If, after the tour has started, all slopes remain closed for the entire duration due to weather conditions or resort decisions, full refunds will be issued for all ski equipment rented from PenguenTepe.
MEALS
In addition to morning refreshments served on the bus, the following are provided after skiing at the PenguenTepe Kartalkaya branch:
- sucuk ekmek
- hot and cold beverages
Lunch or sucuk sandwiches are not served at slope-side cafés.
PARKING DISTANCE
Guests are not required to choose a specific facility at the summit.
The walking distance to the selected facility is approximately 100 meters.
SEAT SELECTION
Vehicle type and size depend on passenger capacity; comfort-focused buses within market standards are used.
Seat numbers cannot be guaranteed.
PenguenTepe Turizm reserves the right to modify prices.
